Kite Review:

Let’s start with the Recommendation!

This kite is Highly Recommended! Once assembled properly for a Delta kite, this beauty takes to the air effortlessly. Since it is a large Delta, it requires little wind to fly comfortable, yet is easily sustained higher wind speeds as well. It effortlessly carried several different types of additional load (or drag) better known as kite laundry, including parachute type spinners and parafoil kites. This kite also looks great in the sky with its unique spinner tail.

Preparing to fly this kite is straight forward and easy as well.

1) Connect the separated fiberglass support rods first. There are 3. Left, Right and Center. Find the separated sections inside the material sleeve by feel and move them together so they connect. Push with decent force to insure they are connected. Do this for the Left, Right and Middle.

2) On the center fiberglass rod, make sure the bottom end is inside the material flap and not exposed.

3) On the Left and Right fiberglass rods, manipulate them so they are all the way to the bottom of the kite.

4) Install the center support fiberglass crossbar.

5) Attach the tail

6) Attach your kite string and…Go Fly a Kite!

Quality Comments:

The construction of this kite is good and it is durable. It has provided many hours of flying fun and is expected to last for quite some time.

Extras:

Because this kite can pull pretty hard in stronger winds and/or with heavy load kite laundry accessories attached. We recommend higher strength string when flying it with such. Experiment with different string strengths based on your wind situation and load requirements. We tend to fly all our kites with one of these 3 strengths and have great success with the Emma Kites brand. (120lb or 200lb or 500lb)We always attach laundry with the carabiner setup and, under certain heavy pull (load) situations, we will add a secondary runner string for the accessory. Separate posting coming to show this setup.

We are currently documenting several methods of anchoring the kite to a secure ground system, which is easily setup and torn-down. In this Kite Review and Kiting Adventure, the Sand Anchor is shown. Stay tuned for more.

As with all outdoor flyers, a good understanding of the Beaufort Wind Scale is handy. Here is a simple video that helps to explain it.
