Kite Review:

Let’s start with the Recommendation!

This kite is NOT Recommended! This recommendation is based solely on one thing, and that is post flight quality. Read on. Once assembled properly for a traditional diamond kite, the kite flew effortlessly . Because it is a diamond kite, it was our hope this kite would be a great starter kite for all ages. It was easy to assemble, is made from quality rip-stop material, and flies well in almost every wind-speed. (it did require slightly more wind speed than a delta to get aloft) Also, we did not test it with any type of loads (or drag) better known as kite laundry.

So what was our problem with this kite? It was the streamers used for balance on the sides. Static electricity builds up on them during the course of flight, and caused them to stick together more than they should. We noticed over time, as the streamers bunched up on one side or the other, the kite would become less stable, moving the kite side to side more than desired.

We have not given up on this kite however. We have ordered additional streamers for longer tail options, and will remove the side streamers and give it another try. Stay tuned for more details. This kite is very pretty in the air, we just want to get it stable!
